About David Ward Firewood

David Ward with his logs, prior to cutting & kiln drying.

My name is David Ward, and I supply locally grown, kiln-dried firewood across South Shropshire, North Herefordshire and North Worcestershire.

I use a custom-built delivery vehicle fitted with a crane, designed specifically to place your logs exactly where you need them. In many situations the crane can reach over garden fences and walls, delivering directly into garages, log stores or outbuildings.

Whatever the weather — from floods to snow — I pride myself on reliability and have never missed a delivery to a customer

All the wood supplied by David Ward Firewood is sourced from local woodland. Firewood is delivered to you in 1.2 cubic metre showerproof bags or 0.6 cubic meter bags (depending upon what you've ordered), made from 100% recyclable polypropylene.

I know the provenance of every load of timber we process and hold the relevant licences to demonstrate the legality and sustainability of our firewood.

Logs are available as kiln-dried hardwood, or a 50/50 mix of hard and softwood. The standard log length is 10 inches, but logs can be cut to a size that suits your stove or fireplace.

To help get your fire started quickly and easily, we also supply kindling boxes and firelighters. Please note that these items are available exclusively as add-ons and are delivered alongside a main firewood order. Each box contains plenty of kindling and firelighters to last you through a full bag of logs!

When you buy from David Ward Firewood, you are supporting a local business based around North Herefordshire, North Worcestershire & South Shropshire.

Your purchase helps sustain local jobs, responsibly managed woodland and the conservation of the British countryside.
